A car crash occurred in Queens involving a pedestrian and a motorcyclist. Now, two New York families are bearing the burden of a tragic death after two people died in a car accident. According to reports, the motorcyclist was engaged in a road activity with a particularly large group.

The crash occurred after 4:00 p.m and upon a preliminary investigation, authorities believe that the accident took place as a 78-year-old woman was making her way across the street. The operator of the motorcycle, for an unknown reason, crashed into the pedestrian. The exact details surrounding this accident have not been reported.

Both the pedestrian and motorcyclist were transported to an area hospital. However, their injuries were too severe and sadly, both of the individuals died from their injuries. At last report, authorities are in the process of contacting the pedestrian’s relatives. It is not known if authorities have come to a conclusion in their investigation.

Officials have not determined who the responsible party was in this devastating car accident. Either of the deceased could be deemed responsible in a civil courtroom, and the surviving relatives may have the right to bring a wrongful death claim against the deceased’s estate to recover damages, including funeral costs and hospital expenses. It is important for each party’s surviving family to be aware of their legal rights in matters such as these. The civil court system in New York will review evidence and determine responsibly of the appropriate party if any cases are filed, and one of the families could be compensated as a result.
