An accident has taken place in the Bronx during an early morning commute. The driver of an SUV reportedly lost control of his vehicle. The horrendous auto accident has claimed the lives of two people, including a New York cab driver.

A driver of an SUV was reportedly driving at an excessive rate of speed when he could no longer maintain control over his vehicle. The vehicle hit a guardrail and was sent flying through the air before smashing into a cab carrying the driver and an occupant. A vehicle that was sitting behind the taxi was also involved in the crash, resulting in injuries. Both the driver of the cab and the passenger were unable to survive and the passenger’s head was ripped off in the horrific crash.

Authorities questioned the driver of the SUV and at the conclusion of this interview, he was released. The accident is still being investigated by officials. Authorities administered a breathalyzer test to the driver, but the results have not been reported. In spite of the tragic incident, no citations have been issued.
